This policy applies to the Android app Twistlet: Short Drama & Reels, package ID com.twistlet.shortdrama, and to the Twistlet website at twistlet.proai-tech.com.
1. Overview
Twistlet helps you discover and watch short dramas. You do not need to create an account. Saved stories, likes, watch progress, unlocked episodes, and caption preferences are stored locally on your device. The app uses network services to deliver its catalog and media, and Google Mobile Ads to show rewarded interstitial ads. Before one starts, Twistlet explains the episode reward and gives you an option to skip it.
2. Information processed
Data stored on your device. Twistlet stores the dramas you save or like, your most recent episode and playback position, unlocked episodes, and your caption preference. This data does not require an account and is not uploaded to Twistlet as a user profile.
Content and media requests. When the app requests catalog data, drama details, videos, captions, or rankings, API, proxy, hosting, and content-delivery providers may process your IP address, request time, basic device or user-agent information, requested drama or episode identifiers, and technical logs. This processing is needed to deliver content, protect the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
Ads and consent. Twistlet uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform. Depending on your device, region, and consent choices, Google and its advertising partners may process an advertising ID or device identifier, IP address and approximate location derived from it, ad interactions, consent status, and diagnostic information.
How Google uses data from partner apps
Device check. When the app starts, it checks on your device whether it appears to run in an emulator, to limit automated abuse of the service and its ads. The result is used only on your device and is not sent to us.
Android share sheet. If you choose Share, Twistlet sends the story title and episode text to the Android share sheet. The destination app you select then processes that information under its own privacy policy.
Our website. The Twistlet website does not use cookies, analytics, or ads, and does not load resources from third parties. Its hosting provider, currently GitHub Pages, may process your IP address and basic request information to deliver and secure the pages.
3. How information is used
- To provide the catalog, video streaming, captions, search, and rankings.
- To remember your library, likes, progress, unlocked episodes, and local settings.
- To show rewarded interstitial ads after a clear introduction and opt-out choice, according to your consent choices.
- To secure the service, prevent fraud, and resolve technical problems.
- To meet applicable legal obligations.
4. Service providers and disclosures
Technical data may be processed by providers needed to operate the app, including drama API providers, proxies, media hosting or CDN providers, website hosting providers, and Google and its advertising partners. Twistlet does not sell your locally stored watch list. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a lawful business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention and deletion
Your local library and progress remain on your device until you use Settings > Clear local data, clear the app's data through Android settings, or uninstall the app. API, CDN, and advertising providers retain logs according to their operational needs and policies. Where required in your region, you can also open advertising privacy choices from Settings.
6. Device permissions
The app requires internet access to load and play content. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or personal files. The advertising SDK may use an advertising ID when one is available and permitted by your system and consent choices.
7. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No electronic transmission or storage method is completely risk-free. Service providers may process information in other countries under safeguards required by applicable law.
8. Children
Twistlet is not specifically directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their region. We do not knowingly ask children to create an account or submit personal information directly to us. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information may contact us to request review and deletion.
9. Your choices and rights
You can delete local data at any time, change captions, skip a rewarded interstitial before it starts, and, where available, change advertising privacy choices. Additional privacy rights may apply based on your location. Because the app does not use accounts, we may need enough information to understand a request without collecting unnecessary additional data.
10. Policy changes
We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal requirements change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the app or the Google Play listing when required.
